چکیده
Manipulation of small-scale matter is a fundamental topic in micro and nanorobotics. Numerous magnetic robotic systems have been developed for the manipulation microparticles an ambient environment, liquid, as well on air-liquid interface. These move intrinsically or magnetically tagged objects by inducing torque force. However, most materials found nature are nonmagnetic. Here, we report ferrofluidic manipulator automatic 2-D nonmagnetic floating top ferrofluid. The system employs 8-cm-scale solenoids, which can particles deforming air-ferrofluid Using linear programming, control motion with predefined trajectory line, square, circle precision 25.1 ± 19.5, 34.4 28.4, 33.4 26.6 μm, respectively. versatile shapes under manipulation. determination of maximal singularity free zones in the workspace of parallel manipulator
due to the limiting workspace of parallel manipulator and regarding to finding the trajectory planning of singularity free at workspace is difficult, so finding a best solution that can develop a technique to determine the singularity-free zones in the workspace of parallel manipulators is highly important. in this thesis a simple and new technique are presented to determine the maximal singula...
15 صفحه اولRefraction at the Interface of a Lossy Metamaterial
The refraction phenomenon at the interface of an ordinary material and a lossy metamaterial has been investigated. For oblique incidence on the lossy metamaterial, the planes of constant amplitude of the refracted wave are parallel to the interface and the plane of constant phases make a real angle with the interface (real refraction angle). The real refraction angle and hence, the real refract...
متن کاملHighly spin-polarized conducting state at the interface between nonmagnetic band insulators: LaAlO3/FeS2 (001).
First-principles density functional calculations demonstrate that a spin-polarized two-dimensional conducting state can be realized at the interface between two nonmagnetic band insulators. The (001) surface of the diamagnetic insulator FeS(2) (pyrite) supports a localized surface state deriving from Fe d orbitals near the conduction band minimum. The deposition of a few unit cells of the polar...

Varun Saxena Using a fixed beam with a fundamental Gaussian mode, a gradient force optical trap was used to translate a single cell using a carboxylated polystyrene bead as a handle. Currently, the force with which the optical trap can manipulate an individual cell alone is very weak. In fact, the inadequate nature of the optical trap on living cells has prevented this technique from being usef...
متن کاملA Ferrofluidic Magnetic Micropump
A microfluidic pump is described that uses magnetic actuation to push fluid through a microchannel. Operation relies on the use of magnetically-actuated plugs of ferrofluid, a suspension of nanosize ferromagnetic particles. The ferrofluid contacts but is immiscible with the pumped fluid. The prototype circular design demonstrates continuous pumping by regenerating a translating ferrofluidic plu...
